Nominated By: Katherine Costa
Mrs. Walz has been such a treasure of a teacher for our son, Ollie. When he started school this year he had never been away from home, or in the care of anyone he hadn’t known his whole life. Mrs. Walz immediately made us feel at ease when we met her, sharing she was in the same boat when her children started school. She has such a comforting aura and has a way of making learning fun and exciting. It has been such a joy to see how our son has grown and how much he has learned through the year, but more importantly how eager and excited he is to go into school every morning. As parents, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to school and its because of Mrs. Walz. We wish she could be his teacher forever but know any child who has her leading their class is so fortunate.

Nominee’s Name: Jamie Donahue
School Name: St. Teresa of Calcutta
Nominated By: Jennifer Mayo
We couldn’t have asked for a better kindergarten teacher for our daughter than Miss. Donahue. Kindergarten is such a big milestone for a child, and we truly believe that a great teacher makes the difference for a good start to a child’s education. Our daughter was very nervous about starting in a new school with new teachers but from the moment she met Miss. Donahue before the 1st day of school when dropping off her supplies she immediately felt so comfortable with her which made the 1st day drop off that much easier. She came home just raving about her teacher Miss. Donahue and her teacher’s assistant Ms. DeMello. As parents we always feel included and aware of what happens during our child’s time at school and that’s all thanks to the communication we receive from Miss. Donahue. We have seen the growth in our daughter and the confidence she has gained in her capabilities. She is however extremely sad to learn the next year Miss. Donahue will no longer be her teacher and that’s why she wishes she wasn’t graduating. Miss Donahue thank you so much for loving, caring and educating our daughter the way you do, you have truly made a lasting impact.

Nominee’s Name: Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Bouchard
School Name: Holy Trinity
Nominated By: Nikki Carvalho
Zachary came to Holy Trinity carrying a lot of grief after the closing of his previous school, Saint Stanislaus. The transition was very difficult for him emotionally, and he struggled with leaving behind the only school community he had ever known. Because of this, making new friends and adjusting to a new environment was not easy. Those first few months were heartbreaking for both him and me as his mom.
Thankfully, he was met with incredible kindness, patience, and understanding from his teachers and staff. Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Bouchard has been such an important part of helping Zack feel safe, supported, and welcomed. She is always patient and gentle, taking the time to explain things, encourage him, and make sure he feels seen.
When Mrs. Dean needed to take time away for maternity leave, Mrs. Bouchard truly held down the fort. She stepped in with so much care, consistency, and kindness, helping Zack continue to feel safe and supported during another big transition. Having that stability meant so much to our family, and I am so grateful for the love and dedication she showed every day.
Even while Mrs. Dean was away, Zack missed her so much because of the connection and trust she had already built with him. That says so much about the kind of teacher she is.
We truly could not have asked for a better teacher team to welcome us into Holy Trinity. Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Bouchard have made such a difference in my child’s life this year, and for that I am so grateful.
Thank you, Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Bouchard, for all you do for Zachary and for loving your students so well.

Mrs Pacheco has made every moment worth my daughter’s education. From the first tour I went on before she was even enrolled I was met with kindness. I have experienced enrolling and adjusting to having a kindergartner while currently having a newborn and a 13 month old; none of it would’ve possible without her. I could call the school right now and say “it’s Gabriella’s” mom and she would know exactly who I’m talking about and be ready to help.
