FALL RIVER — Catholic schools in the Attleboro area and throughout the Diocese of Fall River are celebrating Catholic Schools Week from Sunday through Feb. 3.

The annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States is in its 50th year.

This year’s theme is “Catholic Schools United in Faith and Community.”

Area schools will join thousands of Catholic schools across the country by inviting their local communities to experience Catholic education through open houses, school Masses, tours, and other traditions held this time of year.

“Catholic Schools Week is the perfect time for families to learn more about Catholic education and its unsurpassable value to our country for more than 200 years,” said Daniel S. Roy, superintendent of Catholic schools for the Diocese of Fall River.

While affordability is always a concern for many new families in the schools, Christina Duggan, vice president of Operations for the Catholic Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts, said scholarships and other financial aid are available.
