• PreK, Kindergarten and grade 8 – $4800 per year
• Grades 1 through 7 – $4600
• Fundraising fee per family – $350 (not included in the tuition)

Note that 100% of the tuition is allocated to covering the costs of teacher and staff salaries as well as normal operational costs of running a school; i.e. heat, electricity, internet, etc.  Moreover, the proposed 2022-23 operating budget accounts for an increase in these costs as our schools are not immune from inflationary pressures and therefore, we reluctantly had to pass some of that cost along to our families.  That said, we are making every effort to mitigate the impact through access to financial aid for more of our families.

Yes. Therefore, we encourage every family interested in a FACE scholarship to apply early using your current school’s name.

After careful deliberation and review of the survey results, we have decided on a new plaid jumper/skirt for the girls.  Girls entering grade 8 will have the option to wear a khaki skirt rather than purchasing the new plaid skirt. All other grade levels will need to purchase the new uniform.

Gym Clothes:

• For identification and safety purposes, new school T-shirt or sweatshirt is to be worn.
• Sweatpants/sweat shorts: with logo gym uniform.
• Sneakers are to be tied in the traditional manner.

We will hold a special meeting for grade 7 parents to discuss what the program will offer and address any concerns.

Yes, the New Bedford Public Schools provides transportation. Students will receive transportation if the distance is more than 2 miles from the student’s residence to the school they attend.

The existing CYO building adjacent to SJSJ is being renovated and will house the middle school. The main school building is also being refurbished. The Diocese is working with the architect to develop new designs. Both buildings will have upgraded, state-of-the art educational technology.

The CYO schedule will continue for the balance of the 2022 season.  Moving forward, CYO games and practices will be at another location.

Yes, the school will look to incorporate STEM/STREAM and other educational best practices to ensure students have a high-quality teaching and learning environment. Partnerships with local colleges and universities will help to support this work.

As with all New Bedford Catholic schools, the new school will enhance its relationship with Bishop Stang High School by leveraging resources, their campus, academics, etc.

We are working with the New Bedford Public Schools to address this issue.

A new playground is being planned for the PK through grade 3 students.

Yes, we will continue working with the SEAL Foundation to provide needed services.

Morning and afternoon extended care will be offered.

The name of the merged school between Holy Family Holy Name and St. James St. John schools will be Saint Teresa of Calcutta School.
